Katrisha Smith is a Ph.D. student in Experimental Psychology focusing on Industrial-Organizational (I/O) Psychology. Her research centers on using AI in selection processes, specifically investigating potential biases in automatic speech recognition systems that disadvantage underrepresented accents and dialects.

As a member of the EAST Lab, Katrisha is dedicated to advancing knowledge, promoting fairness, and mitigating bias in employee selection and assessment development while creating more effective assessments. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from Texas State University, where she researched metacognition and judgments of learning (JOL).
